Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scouts

Explorer Camp 2019

Explorer Camp will take place on HMS BRISTOL from Saturday 26th October until Friday 1st November.

You are now invited to bid for places for Explorers and Adults.  Bid forms can be found at the bottom of this page, but please read all information below before applying.

Explorers are to arrive between 0900 and 1230 on Saturday.  Departure is approximately 1000 to 1130 on Friday – specific times for collection will be allocated in advance.

Meals will be provided from Saturday lunch through to Friday breakfast inclusive.  Optionally, a packed lunch can be provided before departure on the Friday.

Explorers Sea Scouts must be invested members of an Explorer Unit which holds a partnership agreement with an RN Recognised Sea Scout Troop.

Accommodation is on-board HMS BRISTOL.  More information about HMS Bristol can be found here.

Explorers can apply for either an activities camp which includes a different activity each day, or one of a range of courses.

It is highly recommended that those applying for a course have attended this event previously, because they need to be familiar with the ship and day to day routine. For those who have not attended before, the Activities camp is much more suitable.

Places on courses are very limited.  It is unlikely that groups will be allocated more than one place on each course, irrespective of the number requested.

You will need to make your own arrangements for transportation, although we are able to offer collection from Portsmouth and Southsea Train Station.
