Soccer Sixes will take place on HMS EXCELLENT from 27th September until 29th September 2019.
The competition comprises of a set heats on the Saturday, followed by finals on the Sunday. There are a number of trophies available for each section.
We are now accepting applications for Young People and Adults. Bid forms can be found at the bottom of this page, but please read all relevant information before applying.
Teams are to arrive at HMS EXCELLENT between 1800 and 2130 on the Friday. The event is expected to finish around 1400 on the Sunday. We do not have access to transportation for this event, so we are unable to offer collection from public transport. If this is a problem for your team, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will endeavor to help.
Accommodation is on-board HMS BRISTOL. The minimum age for attending is 12 years. More information about HMS Bristol can be found here.
Teams & Age Limits
Each team will comprise six players plus a substitute and may be mixed boys and girls.
Scouts must be 12 or older at the start of the event. Scouts must be invested members of an RN Recognised Troop in accordance with POR 3.9 i). Therefore, the maximum age is 14 years 6 months on the day of the finals.
Explorers must be invested members of the Explorer section in accordance with POR 4.7 l). Therefore, the maximum age is 18 years.
Scouts and Explorers may only play within the age group where they are invested. It is not permitted for Scouts to “play up” as Explorers.
Shin pads are mandatory whilst playing.
Individual strips are encouraged. Bibs will be provided if they are not available or there is a clash of colours.
Football boots must be worn by all players.
Normal FA rules apply and:
- Teams will consist of 6 players with one substitute permitted per game
- Teams may be made up of boys and girls
- Games will be 5 minutes duration with no half time
- Semi-finals will be 7 minutes duration with no half time
- The final will be 10 minutes duration with no half time
League position will be determined by:
- Most points
- Most wins
- Least defeats
- Most goals scored
- Least goals conceded
- Result between the 2 teams
Points available are: Win – 3, Draw – 1, Loss – 0
We welcome applications from adult leaders both with members of their groups or independently.
Each group must supply one team manager for each team – therefore if you are sending two teams, you must send two leaders. We also welcome applications from additional leaders who will be able to assist in the running of the event. There is no additional cost for adult leaders.
Adults must be over 18 years of age at the start of the event and hold a current appointment with a RN Recognised Sea Scout Group or be a current member of the ALNSASU.

Deadline for Bid Forms and Payments
This form only requests the number of teams you wish to bid for. We do not need to know details of the individuals concerned at this stage. Do not bid speculatively: We will expect that you can fill any places you are allocated.
We will try and allocate you places as soon as we can – if you apply earlier then we can confirm your place earlier!
Full Payment must by made by this date. If we cannot allocate you a place that you have requested, we will refund your deposit.
PLACES WILL NOT BE ALLOCATED UNTIL YOUR PAYMENT IS RECEIVED, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Deadline for Adult Registrations
Each adult attending will need to fill in an online form. We ask that each leader fills in their own form to ensure the data is correct. Feel free to forward this page to your adult leaders so they can fill the form in.
Completing your form early is very helpful for the management team.

We will send out confirmation forms which will request the details of those attending the event.
If we are unable to confirm any places requested, we will maintain a reserve list. If additional places become available, we will contact you.
