Activity Camp The RN Explorer Camp is our best camp for those in Explorers. Not only is it great value for money but the range of activities is massive. Throughout the week, we aim to provide the chance to kayak, canoe, paddle board, sail, build and code STEM equipment, ride on power boats, meet life-long friends and so much more. During the week, the young people are split up into 5 groups. Whilst in these groups, they will attend a new activity each day. The activity teams will ensure that they have the best experience during the day and each group will be accompanied by their Divisional Officer who acts as their leader and primary point of contact for the week. Divisional Officers will support the group in preparing for the following day and take them from activity to activity throughout the week. Age before first day of camp To attend camp, this year, the minimum age requirement is 14 years by the start of camp. They also must be under 18 years (on the last day of camp) to attend as an Explorer Food and Accommodation Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided by the galley onsite at HMS Sultan. Whereas previously, we have had to provide our own food. Breakfast and dinner will both be hot meals and the young people will be provided with a packed lunch during the day. Unfortunately, we are not able to confirm any menus; however, the galley staff do their best to cater for allergies and dietary requirements. Transport During this camp groups/young people will be expected to make their own way to camp. This year we need as many minibuses as possible to facilitate the transport between activities. If you as the leader are able to bring and or drive your minibus, this would assist greatly in the logistics and cost of camp. We can cover mileage claims for the distance travelled during the camp.
