Service Description

RN Summer Camp 2026 RN Camp 2026 brings together Scouts and Explorers for the first time in one MEGA week of adventure, combining our proven structure with an even larger programme. Across the week, young people will take part in a huge mix of adventures including kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, dinghy sailing, yacht sailing, powerboating, STEM build-and-code challenges, land activities, laser tag, coracles, and more – plus a full day out at Thorpe Park. They’ll also have the chance to meet new friends, rise to new challenges and enjoy an unforgettable summer experience. Camp Structure Throughout the week, participants are organised into Divisions (Patrols). Each Division follows a structured rotation, meaning every young person gets to try each activity in a fair and balanced timetable. Divisions will rotate through: • Dinghy sailing • Yacht sailing (Explorers) • Paddlesports: kayak, canoe, SUP, coracles • Powerboating • Laser tag • Land activities • STEM build-and-code sessions • Monopoly Run & Swans challenge • Den building • A full day at Thorpe Park In the evening, the whole camp comes together for group entertainment such as: film night, sports competitions, quizzes, ship visits, pizza night, disco, Dog Watch, and more. Each Division is supported by a Divisional Officer, acting as their leader and first point of contact for the entire week. They will guide the group between activities, support daily preparations, and ensure that all participants feel safe, welcomed and supported. Age Requirements For 2026, the age requirement is: • Minimum age: 11 years old on the first day of camp • Maximum age: 17 years and 11 months as a youth participant Those aged 18 or over must attend as an adult. Food and Accommodation All meals are provided by the HMS Sultan galley: • Hot breakfast • Packed lunch for daytime activities • Hot evening meal While menus cannot be published in advance, the galley team work hard to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements wherever possible.
